Test Tag Today are your professional electrical test and tag technicians.

Based in Central Victoria, our technicians can check and test your electrical equipment nationwide to ensure your workplace is compliant with OHS/WHS requirements.

All schools in Victoria are required to implement the Department Of Education's management system for occupational health, safety and wellbeing (the OHS management system).

As such, their electrical equipment must be tested, tagged and recorded on their Electrical Equipment Register on an annual basis.

All our technicians hold Working With Children Checks, and with multiple contracts throughout Victoria, schools are our speciality.

Microwave Leakage

Three Phase Testing

Microwave radiation has the potential to leak through a microwave ovens door and seals.

Checking for leakage falls under the Australian Standard AS/NZS 60335.2.25 – household and similar electrical appliances safety.

Three phase appliances and leads present a much higher risk of electric shock to users.

Unless hardwired, they are still considered portable appliances and need to be included in your test and tag program.

Our technicians can test all your three phase appliances with our specialist three phase testing equipment.

With an efficient data capturing system, our testing and tagging caters for a fast turn around time with minimal disruption.

We also offer an after hours service.

Test and Tagging is the process of inspecting an appliance to ensure it is free of damage, followed by a test with a Portable Appliance Tester to ensure it is electrically safe to use.

It is then tagged to show it has been tested to AS/NZS3760:2022

The nature and frequency of inspection and testing depends on factors such as the type of electrical equipment, the operating environment and how it is used.

An employer has a duty of care to ensure the safety of its employees under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004. This includes minimising the risk of electric shock in the workplace.

Electrical testing and tagging forms part of your workplace risk management system.

If you're a school for example, the Department of Education has specified that schools must manage risks with electrical equipment on site by ensuring all electrical equipment is tested and tagged, with all results added to their Electrical Equipment Register.
